I definately agree on the carbohydrate piece: I personally notice that I can handle way less carbs during the winter season than during the spring and summer - it really must be due to the day length and circadian rhythm.
All sound advice. Every other glass should be a glass of water is a great one as well as not turning up to a party hungry. These will help you stay the course and ensure you minimise the hang over.
